Volume 7

I am still working for the same company—DCS Corporation.  I still do HR work, although I toyed with the idea of leaving to go to a larger company, but could not beat the benefits and flexibility of my current position.  Plus, we have Margarita Thursdays.

We were fortunate enough to travel a bit this year to the Jersey Shore in the summer, New York City just recently, and Orlando for Thanksgiving.  We will be heading to Pittsburgh for a short trip this Christmas.  If you would like to look at pictures at anytime, visit lynch.shutterfly.com

The kids each have a section following, and Siena had the honors of writing her own section this year which only included the word awesome three times, which was quite a bit lower than the bet Shaun and I had going.  We hope our eCheer finds you well, please feel free to email, call, or stop by lovely Southern Maryland to see us.  Happy Holidays, and we wish you well in the New Year!

Weren’t we always virtual?  Well, in an attempt to reduce our carbon footprint (everyone that just made a joke about my shoe size just lost their Christmas card for next year) we decided to simply put our newsletter online and save all the paper and ink.  Also, it reduces the guilt factor when you open the card and feel like you have to read all about our lives before tossing the info in the trash (not yours, I keep yours all year!).

Shaun made it home safe and sound in May.  While he was gone, he spent most of his downtime planning a trip for the two of us to St. Bart’s.  We dropped the kids off with Mom and Dad Lynch—who thankfully remember the need for alone time post deployment— and headed south for almost a week.  We had a great time!  We sunbathed, we toured the island by foot, we ate entirely too much…  We ended up having lunch and dinner with Chelsea Handler (ok, so we happened to already be sitting at the table, and her

party came and sat at another table in the same restaurant, but if you tilted your head, we could have been at the same giant tables) whose new book I had brought to read on the beach.  I was beyond thrilled.  Shaun said I was stalking her, but he was just mad that Jimmy Buffett did not show up even though Shaun brought his book.

Shaun is up for orders once again and nightly comes home with some new pipeline (dream) that outlines what he should do when and how with what tools (this is usually where I stop listening)…  The big decisions he faces are stay in (and take the bonus) vs. get out, stay in HSL (and take the bonus) vs. transition, or trying to go all the way in HSL (and take the bonus).  Clearly, I’ve made my decision, however, Shaun has not.  Honestly, I just want him to be happy (with the bonus).  Regardless, I think that this should all fall into place within the next few months, and we’ll have a better idea of a move date if there is one.

Merry Christmas!

We’ve Gone Virtual….

This year has been an awesome year for me because I have been getting straight A’s. This year I also got my round-off and two back handsprings! I am so happy! On Thanksgiving we got to go to a ton of places Epcot, Disneyworld, and Hollywood Studios. I also got to go to a museum called the Newseum. I learned a lot from it. I got to watch a video of 9/11. That was sad. Also in school my friend from cheer is in my homeroom. In science right now I am making electromagnet fishing poles. It is very fun. Last year in cheer we went to Kings Dominion. It was awesome. This year in cheer we have to be a level 4 in stunts and level 2 in tumbling. Our routine is great.  I hope you can come!

Isabella is excited for her cheer also. She loves it. She is so cute. I have to do a project for social studies on ancient Egypt. I am doing a brochure. It looks really cool. I did mine on the Great Sphinx. We just put up the stockings and  lights for Christmas. Our house looks so pretty. This year mom is getting us two presents for Christmas. Then we are going to buy presents for kids can not afford toys. I think that is nice. I wish I could have a Christmas with the whole family together. Well that was my year, hope you had an awesome year like me. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

father—mainly tiaras and feathered boas.  I signed him up for a tumbling class that occurs when Biz has cheer practice.  For only $9 a week, I can have someone else watch him and toss him around a gym while I wait for Biz to finish.  I am pretty sure they could charge a lot more, and I would still be in.  He seems to like (the little girls in) the class, so we will keep going!

As Siena mentioned, Isabella has begun cheerleading this year on a “Mini’s” team.  We figured that since poor Biz spent so many hours at the gym watching Siena, we should get her involved to.  And of course, she was all for (the cute uniforms and glitter makeup) being on the team.  There are only 6 girls on the team aged 3 to 7, and they are so stinkin’ cute.  Biz is a base and is petrified of being tossed in the air or up side down.  I think her cheerleading time is limited...

Biz is in first grade this year and is reading more and more.  She has really taken to playing on her computer and with her Leapster.  She loves being online in the quiet of her own room (just like her father).  Unlike her siblings, Isabella prefers her solitude, playing with her toys quietly in her room, and ignoring the rest of us.  It’s so refreshing.  She is our creative little jokester and makes us all laugh and smile.

Siena as written by Siena….

Patrick recently went to his 3 year check up (yes, I realize his birthday was 3 months ago) and he falls in the 90th percentile for his height and 95th for his weight.  He is just a giant meathead.  He finally started talking earlier this year, which is a plus as now we know exactly what food he wants.  He loves what most little boys love—hellehockers (which Daddy flies), football, and cars.  Granted, with his sisters’ influence there are also a few things he loves that frighten his
